I have over 26 years of experience in the field of social service. I earned my BSW in 1991 and MSW in 2012. As a Social Worker it’s my goal to help individuals identify their strengths to engage in therapeutic interventions that promote and support total well-being. I have experience working in various settings with diverse populations such as children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, families, couples, frail and elderly, groups, individuals with developmental disabilities, Severe Emotional Disturbances (SED), Severe Disabling Mental Illness (SDMI), Alzheimer’s and Dementia, addictions, substance abuse, domestic violence, physical abuse, neglect, exploitation, and sexual abuse due to trauma, psychological, emotional, behavioral and developmental disturbances. My areas of practice are Play Therapy; Solution-Focused; Strengths-Based; Crisis Intervention; Reality Therapy; Systems Theory; Family Functioning Dynamics; Narrative Therapy; and Trauma Focused-Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My goal is to integrate culturally sensitive approaches tailored to individual development and cognitive functioning that are congruent with goals and needs. I am personally and professionally dedicated social work values and what they stand for. I solidly believe that trust, encouragement, support, motivation, self-determination, empowerment, awareness and success will give individuals healthy well-adjusted happy lives.
