LCSW, MSSW-Military Social Work Specialization ‐ Clinical Supervisor
Rikka graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work from University of Louisville, Kent School of Social Work, Louisville, Kentucky. Rikka then received her Master of Science in Social Work, (Military Social Work Specialization) from the same University. Rikka went on to join the US Marine Corps, where she served as a Military Police Officer; after the service, she worked extensively with veterans by providing them mental health assessment, interventions, referrals and other needed services for the client or their family members. Rikka provided telehealth therapy to the Navajo Nation and though the pandemic and enjoys her role as a Clinical Supervisor, guiding other clinicians along with their craft. Rikka utilizes a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused, Narrative Therapy, and Psychoeducation Groups to include anger management, grief and substance abuse. Her theory is individuals who have the motivation to improve and courage to seek growth through vulnerability and hard work can accomplish all the goals they desire.
