Maybe your mental health hasn’t always been the greatest. Things like depression have been a constant for years. Some days, just getting out of bed seems like too much effort. Sometimes you feel like you can’t even do the things you enjoy, no matter how much you want to. Life feels exhausting, and it takes all of your energy just to get out of bed or take a shower. Sometimes you can feel like “what’s the point…” ?

Our vision is to provide culturally competent, holistic services that promote adult, adolescent and children’s social-emotional development, while addressing mental health challenges, and addressing social-emotional problems that may currently exist.

We do this by focusing and empowering on the individual (and/or family) by helping them reach their desired goals of living, learning, working and socialization in the least restrictive setting.

Desert View’s goal is to provide appropriate, compassionate, and client-centered care to individuals suffering from depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, schizophrenia disorders, eating disorders self-harming behavior to name a few.

We take a multi-disciplinary approach to treating trauma, including sexual assault and other forms of trauma. We believe that it is necessary to address all problems affecting the patient.

We work closely with patients and their families to create a personalized treatment plan. Every treatment utilizes intervention techniques and tools to help our patients live productive, fulfilling lives.

Desert View’s clinicians are master’s level clinicians. Our staff is closely supervised to ensure they provide the necessary level of care. We make sure that our staff members comply with all applicable federal and state codes, standards, and regulations. This also includes HIPAA confidentiality laws. Our clinicians take our patients’ privacy very seriously. They all have the necessary licenses to offer services in the State of New Mexico.

Many of our patients are referred by community resources, law enforcement, and judicial courts. These cases are treated very sensitively, and Desert View Family Counseling does everything possible to guarantee their confidentiality.
