Family Recourse Connection to Reports of Child Abuse and Neglect

Desert View is proud to partner with CYFD (Children’s Youth & Family Department) along with a growing number of family centered agencies who are also piloting “Family Resource Connections” (FRC) in an effort to respond more flexibly to child abuse and neglect reports and to better meet individual family needs. In these systems, families with screened-in child maltreatment reports may receive either a traditional investigation or an alternative assessment response, depending on the type of allegation and other considerations. Some time a report is made and the discovery is, the family is just lacking the opportunity for services- so Desert View provides hands on assistance and reliable resources to the family in need keeping the report to a minimum because the family is being proactive.
